Dr Jill Blakely holds a Ph.D. in Geography (University of Saskatchewan) specializing in environmental assessment and she has  been a faculty member of the Department of Geography and Planning since 2009. She has served as Chair of the Regional and Urban Planning Program in 2014-15 and will resume the position following a term as Acting Vice-Dean Academic, College of Arts and Science, from January to August 2016. Jill has been kind enough to take the time to share why the will be voting for me on Oct 26th 2016.

Dr. Jill A.E. Blakley endorses Kelley Moore for Mayor of Saskatoon

Her academic and professional experience spans the areas of environmental assessment, regional and urban planning, and natural resources management. Over the past 19 years, she has provided expertise to the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, Alberta Environment, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, BC Hydro, the Public Interest Law Centre of Manitoba, the Consumers Association of Canada (Manitoba chapter), Pape Salter Teillet LLP Barristers and Solicitors, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency; the Canadian Institute of Planners, and the City of Saskatoon. Kelley Moore is an urban and regional planner with extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has been nationally recognized for her experience in comprehensive planning and citizen engagement as well as assisting a developing country to establish their own municipally-led neighbourhood planning legislation.  She has led federal/provincial/territorial negotiations on housing programs and co-authored the national Canadian Index of Wellbeing.
