Leadership with a new perspective

Kelley is an urban and regional planner and business partner with extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.  She has worked with all orders of government during the past twenty years in addition to balancing duties as a co-owner of a small business located in Saskatoon.

Kelley’s upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic, a commitment to community service, and a zest for business.  Kelley’s work has covered a variety of fields including town planning, local area planning, inter-municipal and regional planning, international development, social policy development, economic development, and human service integration and delivery.

In these roles Kelley has had lead responsibility to bridge community need with services being provided by police, justice, health, education, social services, employers, housing providers and indigenous organizations. In her latest role as Director of Community and Client Services, Kelley was responsible for managing a $150 million budget and overseeing numerous capital projects.

Kelley has been nationally recognized for her experience in comprehensive planning and citizen engagement as well as assisting a developing country to establish their own municipally-led neighbourhood planning legislation. She has led federal/provincial/territorial negotiations on housing programs and co-authored the national Canadian Index of Wellbeing.

Kelley is a mentor to emerging young professionals. She has been actively involved in fundraising for the Saskatoon and Area United Way.  She approaches her work and personal life as a servant leader and is deeply committed to preparing communities for the future and helping individuals, organizations, and communities be all that they can be.

Kelley graduated from Nutana Collegiate and then attended the University of Saskatchewan where she earned degrees in Regional and Urban Development and a Master of Arts.  Kelley is 44 years old and is proud to call Saskatoon home for the past 34 years. She has been happily married for ten years and loves spending time with family and friends. Kelley enjoys canoeing, cycling, fishing, cross country skiing, hiking, snowmobiling and dancing.

In 2013, Kelley was recognized for her work at the Ministry when she was a co-recipient for the Premier’s Award for Service Excellence.
